Prayer to St. Anthony, the Wonder Worker

O glorious wonder worker, St. Anthony, father of the poor and comforter of the troubled, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for his creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me my request . . . (PAUSE) The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petitions into the ears of Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will be ever yours.

St. Anthony Prayer

Glorious St. Anthony, * safe refuge of the afflicted and distressed * who by a miraculous revelation * have directed all those who seek aid * to come to your altar * with the promise * that whoever visits it for nine consecutive Tuesdays * and there piously invokes you * will feel the power of your intercession * I, a poor sinner * encouraged by this promise * come to you, O powerful Saint * and with a firm hope I implore your aid * your protection * your counsel and your blessing.*

Obtain for me, I beseech you, * my request in this necessity (think of your request). * But if it should be opposed to the will of God * the welfare of my soul, * obtain for me such other graces * as shall be conducive to my salvation. * Through Christ Our Lord. Amen

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY (FOR RELIGIOUS AND LAITY)

Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of Sinners, we who belong to the Marian Movement Consecrate ourselves in a very special way to your Immaculate Heart.

By this act of consecration we intend to live, with you and through you, all the obligations assumed by our baptismal consecration. We further pledge to bring about in ourselves that interior conversion so urgently demanded by the Gospel, a conversion that will free us of every attachment to ourselves and to easy compromises with the world so that, like you, we may be available only to do always the will of the Father.

And as we resolve to entrust to you, O Mother most sweet and merciful, our life and vocation as Christians, that you may dispose of it according to your designs of salvation in this hour of decision that weighs upon the world, we pledge to live it according to your desires, especially as it pertains to a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, the fervent participation in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the works of the apostolate, the daily recitation of the holy rosary, and an austere manner of life in keeping with the Gospel, that shall be to all a good example of the observance of the law of God and the practice of the Christian virtues, especially that of purity.

We further promise you to be united with the Holy Father, with the hierarchy and with our priests, in order thus to set up a barrier in the growing confrontation directed against the Magisterium, that threatens the very foundation of the church.

And lastly, insofar as is possible, we promise to lead souls with whom we come in contact to a renewed devotion to you.

Mindful that atheism has caused shipwreck in the faith to a great number of the faithful, that desecration has entered into the holy temple of God, and that evil and sin are spreading more and more throughout the world, we make so bold as to lift our eyes trustingly to you, O Mother of Jesus and our merciful and powerful Mother, and we invoke again today and await from you the salvation of all your children, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Act of dedication of the human race to the sacred heart

Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly kneeling before your alter. We are yours and yours we wish to be; but in order to be still more firmly united to you, today each one of us freely dedicates himself to your most Sacred Heart. There are many indeed who have never known you; many other have rejected your commandments and have repudiated you. Be merciful to all of them, O Kind Jesus, and draw them all to your holy Heart. Be king, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never abandoned you, but also of the prodigal children who have left you; bring them back quickly to their Father's house lest they die of misery and hunger. Be king of those who have been deceived by erroneous ideas or have been separated by discord; bring them back to the harbor of truth and to the unity of faith so that soon there may be a single fold and a single shepherd. Bestow upon your Church, O Lord, security, liberty, and safety; give to all nations the tranquility of order: and grant that from one pole of the Earth to the other there may ring out the cry: Praise to the divine Heart which brought forth our salvation; to it be glory and honor forever. Amen

Prayer to St. Michael

IMG_2694.JPG

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke Him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

The Apostles' creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell;
the third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting. Amen
